Retro Ping Pong

Instructions

Move your paddle up and down with the arrow keys. In two-player mode, the player on the left can use W and S to control their paddle. Don't let the ball get past your paddle. Score 7 points to win!

Action mode introduces custom rules to the game. Each round, a new set of rules will apply. Most of these rules are straightforward, but some special modes offer new ways to win.

The action mode games include:

  • Secret Wall - A portion of the dividing line turns into an invisible wall. This wall stops the ball from entering the opponent’s court, bouncing it back to the player who hit it. To score, you'll need to navigate the ball around it.
  • Fireball - A ring of fire appears in the center of the field. Each time the ball passes through the ring, it heats up and speeds up.
  • Multiball - Multiple balls are in play at once. Make sure none get past your paddle. If one does, the others will continue bouncing, and a new ball will appear at center court. The balls can also collide and rebound off each other. You need to score twice to win the round.
  • Big Ball Little Paddles - The ball is larger, but the paddles are smaller.
  • Fog Zone - A dense layer of fog is in the middle of the court. When the ball enters the fog, you can't see or hear it bounce. Track the ball's movement through the fog to position yourself correctly when it reappears.
  • Gravity Well - Tiny black holes on the court alter the gravitational field. The ball's direction becomes unpredictable when it enters one of these fields.
  • Bumper Ball - Five bumpers are positioned in the court's center. When the ball hits one, it rebounds in a different direction. Stay alert and anticipate the ball's new path after it hits a bumper.
  • Don’t Hit The Kitty - A cat is on the court! If the ball gets past you or you hit the cat twice, you'll lose the round.
  • Blaster - Both players have blasters! Press Spacebar to fire at your opponent. Hit them twice or get the ball past their paddle to score.
